At 11:00am EST this morning, a new Bicycle® cards website was unveiled to the world! Loaded with some really awesome new content, you can watch publicly for the first time a "behind the scenes" video showing how each deck is made at the factory. To watch it, go to the main page of the new site and click the play button on the first video. It's AMAZING!

The video inside the factory will give you great perspective on the scale of the operation, and how they have increased their quality levels steadily with each passing day. The individual featured in the video, Lance Merrill, is their Director of R&D. He knows everything about anything to do with playing cards, and he was kind enough to share some of that knowledge within the vid.

Let us know what you think!

Really enjoying the new bicycle site, I hope everyone else is too!

Super cool to see how the cards are actually made and how much effort (and technology) goes into it—I used to think they just appear magically in the theory11 warehouses.

I saw under the Partner Playing Card Section that theres some card company called KEM. It looks pretty cool. Does anyone know if these are any good, and if so, where can i buy them?

KEM cards are actually made of plastic - specifically, Cellulose Acetate. This makes them great for card games and environments where durability is top priority, but the feel and finish is different from what you are used to with typical playing card paper.

Wow we finally made it! It's an honor and a privilege to have been a part in the making. Throughout this process, I realized a personal goal - for Cardistry to be noticed by the giant of playing cards.

In production of that factory video, I missed the connecting flight to Cincinnati and Jonathan had to drive more than an hour away to come pick me up from the airport a whole city away - nice! The following days we spent filming behind the scenes of how playing cards are made. It was a pleasure to be given a tour by Lance Merrill - whose knowledge of the whole process knows no bounds. I had no idea the process was as complex and rigorous as it was. I was blown away.

I want to thank our team and everyone else involved for their hard work and continued support. More importantly, I want to personally thank Jonathan Bayme for his unrivaled passion and hustle. Without him, we would not be here discussing in the first place. ;) I hope we see more people come together and share their passion for this art, whether it's magic, cardistry, or underwater basket weaving. It truly is a dream come true to be working with the finest people I've ever known. I hope we continue moving forward at the speed of light.

This was a huge step forward gentleman ( and I use that term loosely ). Congratulations! I would love to see a longer video on how the cards are made in more depth. I understand though that the company may not wish to share that.

Incredible work to all who were involved. As a designer myself, I am pleased to see Bicycle with a fresh new look. Also, seeing the word "Cardistry" all over their home page and the rest of their website is a huge success for our community.

Congrats to JB, AJ, and the entire T11 team for getting to where you are now. Bicycle was wise to make that partnership, I anticipate that this will be a mutually beneficial arrangement for everyone involved. :)

Just sayin, I'm kinda disappointed that the USPCC moved from Cincinnati. I used to always get my fix every time I went back there and got cards for like a dollar a piece.

Anyways, I love the new website. Theory11: Making cards more awesome, one deck at a time. :)

Awesome! Technically, the new facility is in Erlanger, Kentucky - but it's actually right next to the Cincinnati, Ohio airport. It didn't move too far - still in the general vicinity. The Cincinnati-ish region of the world.

Well then I think they should put, "Cincinnati-ish" on the card box. Cincinnati has a long tradition of making playing cards. Kentucky has a long tradition of RedNecks chewing Redman and driving beat up pickup trucks.
