Ask yourself a few of these questions before you take the leap.

1.) Am I going to use this effect in my gigs or am I just making the purchase to see how the effect works?
2.) Am I only buying it because of the hype and in two weeks will it be sitting in the dresser drawer?
3.) How practical is the effect and what is the reset time if needed in a strolling or table hopping gig? This one is crucial for me.
4.) Does it even fit my style?
5.) Does the cost seem to be fair?
6.) Have I read a good number of reviews and allowed myself to hear some of the negative comments as well?

These are just a few things I ask myself before I hit the "purchase" button on the shopping cart.

- Reverhart –

Thank you very much for your comment. Those questions are really helpful. For Quantum Bender 2.0 and Dresscode, my answer for questions 1 - 6 is on the positive side. However for the F.L.Y. Levitation, I'm not sure for questions 3 and 5. I watched the demo video and I didn't like it much. But I believe and hope that I could perform it so smooth. The price is too heavy.

That levitation doesent even look good and in the demo video the guy tells the spectators to "move a bit closer, a little bit closer, stand right here" and thats not a good thing.

@Will: I hate these levitations today, but I would get one if someone came up with something worthwhile.

@ Rev: You are dead on with your questions. I remember when I first bought "Metalogic" I thought It was something special and something that I was gonna kill with. I thought I was about to be the Next Uri Geller. I hated the entire effect! Well, I did get a brand new spoon to bend and work with.

So often when dealing with these bending routines, I always leave them alone because I find out what Banachek and Osterlind taught was great enough and fool proof to me. I even have my own moves added to what they have taught. One bend even Richard himself loves. But I am really picky about buying a lot of the new effects these days. They must fit me and who I am.

I gotta say this, Calen Morelli is kickin butt, he has some of the most off the wall ideas! I said it once and I'll say it again, he is like a breath of fresh air!!!
