HI guys,
Magic has been a great influence in our lives, and us magicians had spread happiness and joy to countless people in the world.Countless of Laypeople.
Here, I present to you guys another topic. According to Gene Anderson, the newspaper magician, a person that performs magic in a professional level but has another professional job is called a Part-time Pro.I'm a reviewee for the Nursing Licensure Examination. And after I topped and passed, I'm sure I will adapt this term.
Magic for laypeople is good. But as magicians, do you think you can extend your services to other people in the community, other than the next hottie that crosses the sidewalk?
If so, where and whom will you extend your magic? Me?Of course, I'll try to extend my powers to my patients. In the community, the hospital patients are those people that are low in self-esteem, low in emotional and of course physical status. We magicians have the means to alleviate these conditions. We have the power of giving these people happiness. In a way,in my course, our art is a way of being therapeutic to those unfortunate people.
During my student years, I actually attempted to do this.I did Jay Sankey's One Coin Routine to a pedia patient with gastritis. And when his face lit with astonishment, its a feeling that is very satisfying for me. Not only because he was amazed but because I was able to make him forget about his general condition and let him experience happiness even if it was temporary.
What are your thoughts on this?
