Old Clumpy Deck Problem

So, I have a certain trick deck. The cards are normal (aka, nothing has been done to them as far as roughing, etc). Anyway, I've has this deck a while, and for my performances, I'm required to spread the deck out evenly on the table. As we all know, after a while, decks don't do that so well anymore. The cards clump together in the spread.

Is there a way, other than fanning powder to reverse this problem? I may be missing some common sense solution, but so far I've got nothing.

Not being mean or anything but i have deck's like this, and other then fanning powder you could use baby powder but i would try that on another deck just in case it messes something up, but other then that your royally screwd, i have alot of good deck's i just over used.

Cards are, ultimately, a consumable product. They will not last forever and won't even really last that long if used regularly.

Once they have gotten to the point where you can use them effectively you can try fanning powder, but you'll probably have to replace them.

Judging by your description I imagine the gimmick could work if you just spread the cards between the hands, possibly while looking away? Though I don't really know, but its a possible solution.

I usually replace my deck immediately, and use the old ones as signing or anything which requires the destruction of cards. Either that or I give them away.

Unless you can't, buy it again. I'm the worst when it comes to using old decks. Hell, I've still got the first ever deck of Bikes I ever used somewhere, but you get to a point when you have to retire a deck and let in rest in either your playing card graveyard (which is what i do) or chuck it away.
