Question about PK Rings

Hi everyone,
sorry in advance if my questions seem stupid but i have absolutely zero experience so far with magnets or pk rings. So far I did almost only sleigt-of-hand stuff but i am pondering the thought of getting me a pk ring.
So what I wanna know: How strong are they really? As in how practical are they really? How far do I have to keep it away from my credit cards, laptop, silverware, dental fillings... :P stuff like that.
So I hope someone who already has a bit experience with that may be so kind and answer my question, even if it is maybe a bit stupid/naive. ;)

keep it away from computers or tvs it will mess them up.there a good device to stop time vanish stuff.the only bad thing is it makes a lot of noise when you vanish something so be in a loud area when you use it.
