Restaurant Magic - Would you watch if...

I've noticed at times that we speculate what is going on in our client's minds (more specifically, general managers). So...I thought...

If I created a video of restaurant general managers/owners answering questions then:
1. Would you want to watch it?
2. And what questions would you want answered?

Great idea, Benji.

I think the questions to have answered that would be most beneficial would be asking them about the hiring process from beginning to end...

1. Why did they decide to even first consider your service above all the others they have had offered recently? What about you and your approach appealed to them?
2. What was it that made them decide to hire you after they had considered the idea?
3. Why have they continued to retain your services?

Those are good questions. I would have to change them a little because I used to perform 6 nights a week but I do more corporate work now so I'm not performing at those places anymore.

I just figured that they wouldn't mind answering some questions :)

Good questions Matt. I was thinking along the same lines. Also...

When is the best time to approach them and would they prefer a phone call first setting up an actual meeting or just popping in?

Is a free night of service going to help them make a hiring decision or are most managers going to just abuse that freebie night and then not hire you ?

I would most definitely be interested in watching that video. My questions are:

Do you feel it was beneficial to the/your business by hiring a magician or was it more like a treat for your customers?

Were/are you happy with the results from hiring a magician?

What do you feel you gained from hiring Benji/a magician?

As always good stuff Benji, I really should try and keep up with your blog.

I would definitely watch it!
If you didn't hire a magician, what was the reason for it? (The whole "corporate" excuse bascially)
How should a magician looking to work for you go about approaching it? (Basically restated Rick's question haha)

The $1000 45 min strolling video? That is sent 14 days after you receive the restaurant gig videos. I wanted to give people a break from all the videos before they receive another one :).
