DETACHED REVIEW
This is a new released DVD from an underground magician named Simon Spinnbarkeit named DETACHED. Here's what I gotta say about the contents of this material.
MELENA
Spinn's DVD opens with a mind wreaking card effect.A selected card is vanished from the magicain's hands cleanly and magically APPEARS inside the spectator's back pockets. Here's the catch, no gimmicks, no stooges and minimal sleight of hand.
I admit at first was that I was really skeptical about the trick description. But after I watched the method, and his philosophy, man it was REALLY EASY...Infact it was the one of the first effects that i performed after watching the DVD once.
for both beginners and advanced, this is an effect that blows people away, yet requires less effort from you
EXOPTHALMUS
Spinn's take on a visual splitting of one card into two cards. A two of hearts is shown and is rapidly split into the two red aces.Sounds amazing? Well, this effect is COMPLETELY done by the spectators, not the magician.
Splitting cards is nothing new, but Spinn has raised the bars to unthinkable boundaries. He developed a method that would allow the spectators to visually do the magic.Man this is a feat that leaves them astounded for a long time.
A must have for any magician...pro or amateur...I'm currently workin on it myself now with the help of my sister of course...
DEGENERATE
Spinn has gone the extra mile again. a unique plot that revolves around a diminishing deck.52-50-45-40-30-20-10-5-3-2-1...And the spectator's selected card is the only one that remains in the magician's hand, the rest of the cards are gone. No sleeving and gimmicks. He performed this wearing a t shirt.
An impromtpu deck vanish.This is the bomb.No sleeving and gimmicks,what else can you ask for. The sleights used are advanced(I should admit),and I assure you they are very much underground.It was a miracle that Spinn didn't charge this effect for single DVD.
BLALOC-TAUSSIG
Spinn's signature effect.It's so cool that by just reading the description, my nipples became hard.Here it is word-for-word, Imagine an entire deck of cards vanish infront of the spectator's eyes.That would be really freaky.But imagine the deck vanishing infront of their eyes and with THEM holding the deck prior to its vanish. That would be better. Well, lastly imagine it reappear again but this time UNDER their armpits.
Spinn puts uphis sense of humor in this effect.Well explained and had an attention to very specific details.Among the effects in this DVD, this is the BEST one YET.If there's a level higher than advanced this is it.But don't despair, Spinn added some footage on how he practiced and developed this effect, for motivation. He also introduced his own sleight here called the INVISIBLE SHIFTER. The sleight needed to accomplish the effect.I'm so gonna place this in my repertoire.I recommend you guys should too...
