I was just wondering what you guys thought of this kind of effect (a slow visual rising card)....

I just want your opinions about this type of effect in general and about your favorite released effect...

I know that Riot and Fallen aren't the only effects like this out there but they seem to look the most visual and gradual....

Just looking for ideas...

Thanks guys!

depends, there are good points on both. are you someone that likes gimmicks or impromptu? Keep in mind, one is one handed the other two handed, if that effects your decisions. as for the best rising card, my personal favorite is definitely SHIFT by chris kenner. blows people's minds.

I've used both RIOT and Fallen - both have their places. I was a bit hesitant to try RIOT out in real performance because of what's actually going on. But I'm really glad I did - I remember showing it to my brother and he isn't easy to fool as he lived with me for 20 years, seeing alot of magic, but he flipped out at this. It was very funny.

I'd say pick up both - I knew roughly how Fallen was done from the demo, had no idea about RIOT.

Regarding Shifty, it's a cool effect, but it's nice to be able to raise the card without moving your hands too much, if at all.
