Role Play from Dangerous

Originally, the trick is that the performer asks the spec. to choose a card then shuffled into the deck. Next they switch roles, the spec. asks the performer to choose a card. Finally the card the performer chose is the spec. card.

During the second phase (when the spec. ask the performer to choose a card), instead of doing that can you have the spec. spread and choose the card themselves. So it looks like they choose the exact card twice, does this make the effect better or worse?

Hmm. I'm not sure on this one. I wouldn't say that it would make it worse, but if they picked it themselves, then that wouldn't be the same idea, and it would no longer be a role play. Its an interesting idea though.

To answer your question,

Yes you can.

I actually do it with two spectators picking a card each, and the fact they have a 'Connection' is the reasoning behind them picking the same card.
That's not a bad idea.... But just between the original method and the second method i mentioned in the first post, which is better to perform?

"We are gonna switch places, but youre both the magician and the spectator". That makes no sense. :)
