Routines based on dreams?

Hi guys!

So I had this idea for some routines which would be based on the dreams. Kind of mind reading, reading signals etc. I think spectators quite liked it, but I'd love to hear what you think about it :) and also if you perform anything which would be covering the topic of dreams?

Interesting but I would suggest you work on your reveal; rather than just blurting it out build towards it such as saying, "I'm seeing y, c, and yes, that's an l. . . Bicycle, is that what you're thinking of"

This form of reveal may seem "old" but it works because it builds towards the reveal and helps the patron, as well as those within the group, to anticipate your final discovery. In an odd way, it encourages them to send you encouraging thoughts because they now see you working towards the correct answer and they want to help you.

Just a suggestion on your performance . . . I'm not certain which of the various methods out there, you're depending on but the routine has potential.

Thanks Craig, that's a great suggestion :) It's always the struggle to build up the ending in an interesting way, and I don't want all of my effects to look similar when it comes to an end, but here I think it would fit very well.

Think of it this way. . . you are "intercepting thoughts" and as such you are trying to catch them with your mind. The explanation I use is that I get little split second visuals and feelings as to what the thought might be but it's such a quick and fleeting impression it takes me a bit to nail it down. However, the more I do it the easier it is for me to catch a thought UNLESS a particular person is just not focused enough to transmit the thought clearly. . .

Think about this and the psychology behind it; if you've done two or three people in a group and been successful (not necessarily with this one routine but any array of mind reading stunts), getting better with each person, wouldn't it make sense to come across one person (the one in the group that's obviously the more skeptical and shut down) that's difficult for you to read?

Use that person as part of a running "gag" so to speak; you move on to do other things but keep coming back to them, at least a few times before you're ready to close the set. That's when you do a final dramatic reveal of that person's thought.

Just something to consider.

That's an awesome suggestion, Craig. I'm sure I will use it. In fact I think I'll try to include it in the effects for my next video. Thanks! :)
