Hey, what card tricks do you find suit most, or like to do most, in a situation that you are sitting NEXT to someone, for instance on a bench or in a bus or train?
Tricks that are less angle sensitive, or can be viewed from the same point of view both by performer and spectator.

I do Oz Pearlman's clutch. The only part that might be difficult is putting the cards in someone's pocket but if they are wearing a jacket it is not a problem. Also, you can show your pocket empty and put it in your own pocket.

I am still amazed that lay people are simply astonished by Clutch

I would suggest sponge balls. It can be done sitting, standing, surrounded, etc. And best of all, it's so versatile...you can change the specific routine so much; it's very customizable.

Yeah. So sponge balls (or bunnies, if you prefer). :)

Edit: Wow, I didn't read the first post very well. Card tricks, eh? Maybe Biddle? Cause I'm assuming you can turn to face them, at least, so Biddle would work. :)

Being a mentalist, if it had to be with a deck of cards I would perform something that preferably didn't have to involve the deck - perhaps just one card.

Invisible Deal force does that and I think a few other effects as well. You probably already know of Docc Hilfords Invisible Dice routine (uses a mini deck).

If I had a pad and Pencil/pen I'd probably do Acidus Novus on them. Have them write down a card they are thinking of and then simply read their mind.
