I would really like to start getting into stage illusions but i have no idea where to start. Andrew Mayne's material looks promising...is it or is there something else that I should get to start?

I would start with andrew mayne, mark wilson's complete course, Darwin's inexpensive illusions (got one signed), that should be plenty enough to start you on your way.
I like the osborne illusion books, but I firmly believe most of the illusions in there are ver advanced to build. The only illusion I have experience building is the subtrunk. I have run out of funding but here is the almost finished trunk fully assembled.
Yes, paul osborne has an illusion plan for pretty much every kind of illusion you could possibly think of.
Check out "the illusion file" if you can find it.
