Honestly, not a big fan. Of the shirt, of the website design (took far too long to load--what is that, anyway, flash? It seemed poorly coded...I hope there's a money back guarantee from whoever designed that for you, since they obviously didn't really know what they were doing, heh), and of the fact that you're blatantly advertising on here, which is clearly against the rules (I suggest reading the FAQ).

Quite unimpressed.

Translation: your friends are the only people who have seen this pap.

I would love for you guys to check it out!

Translation: I'm looking to turn a quick buck.

just wanted to show you this new t-shirt getting the word out about it! seeing what u think

No, you just want our money. You're not spreading the word, you're unabashedly advertising yourself and contributing nothing of actual value in the process.

I searched your posts. Last July, you posted a thread in which you said you were new to magic. And now you think that in the span of 8 months you have the ability, experience, and clout to come in here and ram your hackneyed DIY products down our throats as if they're some kind of revolution in methodological thinking and performance theory?

You were asking for advice for a bloody school talent show only a month ago. You have no business selling anything to anybody. It's obvious that you just made this shirt up to sell it. You didn't test on any real audiences. You threw your site together in about an afternoon (all the sadder because it's a cheap knock-off of Ellusionist and Theory 11). And now you're shamelessly advertising and reviewing your own product.

Grow up kid. Write when you finish puberty.

i am not 11 years old im 20 and the tallent show wasnt just some kid little tallent show it was one that my college put on ... ( i can post a video of it if u would like it went very well :) ) and i have been in magic for almost 2 years... the other posts were just trying to get suggestions about different tricks beginers should start with..

um about ur posts... well for one ur right im trying to get my stuff out there... granted probably posting a review about my own product isnt the best way to go about that -
how else would people know about it? suggestions would be better instead of just trying to blast a person with slander

about the shirt: for one i thought it was pretty unique its more subtle than lankey's shirt...
i have a local store consigning the shirt... alot of people like it.. and its alright if you dont... i dont expect everybody to.. i just thought i would get a little respect...

granted my web design skills arent the best ... i dont mess with webdesgin hardly at all ... and well it took me along time to make that .. i basicly had to learn from scratch how to code...

yeah and i dont have top dollar to pay somebody to make it for me give me a break im in college we all know how much money college kids have..

Well, whoop-dee-doo. I've been in magic for 6 years, and that only barely qualifies to start releasing material.

No kidding. Have you ever noticed that when a rock band says, "This album is our heaviest/best/most experimental to date," that nobody believes them?

First of all, this isn't slander. The printed word is libel.

Second, I would hope it would be obvious. Have other people use a review copy of the product and then let them write the reviews. Or you can do what every mentalist does: hand Banachek a cashier's check and ask for a positive quote.

It's spelled Sankey.

And there are a number of products on the market that already do stuff like this. This emphasizes the need to do research prior to releasing an effect.

i just thought i would get a little respect...

Respect has to be earned. It can't simply be bought. Especially not with an effect that hasn't been thoroughly tested on real world audiences.

If you're in college you should also have access to a lot of computer labs, classes, or at the very least very creative people. Why not delegate?

Its sounds a lot like you need to be doing some research and your trying to skip out. You need to look at different business options you have and how you can apply them. No one said it was going to be easy but you jumped in without doing your homework first and its obvious.
Or you can do what every mentalist does: hand Banachek a cashier's check and ask for a positive quote.
Ouch..now did you have to go there?

I like Banachek, but he's something of a quote merchant. Let's face it, it's one of those things that just needs to be said. And to turn a blind eye to the fact that half-wit wannabe mentalists can go to him and pretty much buy an endorsement no questions asked is equally sad.

Hey,

I'm going to be closing this thread for 2 main reasons.
A)Advertising is not allowed and that is really the main motive of this thread.
B)Things have gotten off-topic, and I can see them escalating quickly.

For future reference, linking to your OWN personal website and saying "Check this super awesome product out!". Is advertising, which like numerous users have said is not allowed.

Thanks to the people who reported this, and sorry it wasn't closed earlier, been busy the past few days.
