i dont know man
jay sankey does this exact effect
with this exact handling
the only thing that is different is putting names on the cards
instead of some other mark
does that mean its _your_ effect?
maybe
i dont know
name of the effect man?

Sankey's version is very very different from my version. His is clever, but involves making a prediction and the sudden appearance of the name. The handling is different, the method is different, and the effect is also rather different.

It is not the same method either!

i have the three ring circus dvd
yours is the same method
trust me
the only difference is names instead of YES/NO

your variation is _quite_ nice
(assuming nobody did the names thing as well)
its a better alternative to yes/no if you know the persons name
also
if you get lucky and they pick the card with their name on it
its a __very__ nice out
give them the card and walk away

KeenanG will post a review soon and I will also try to get a live performance. The Destiny Deck is something I always carry with me and it is very practical.

i wouldnt call this very practical
the trick requires prior setup
but you cant do it before meeting the person
you have to do it after meeting them but before starting the effect
and they cant see the setup...
sankeys graffiti is _very_ practical
this one borders on simply _being_ practical

all i can say about it is that if a person knows how to do sankeys yes/no
or one of its multiple variations by sankey or other magicians
they can replicate this effect

by 'system' do you mean a method to ease preparation for the trick?
because its definitely harder than the lack of preparation for sankeys yes/no
if you dont then calling it a 'system' is incredibly misinforming

cool
well here is my unaskedfor review:
the trick is a strong variation based on an interesting idea
requires zero sleight of hand
good way to put an old deck to good use
and having names on the deck justifies your use of a different deck
which is something thats very hard to do with other full deck setups
i only know of two effect that are dedicated to getting the spectators name on their card
this one and graffiti by sankey
i would say that neither one can replace the other
they each have their strengths and weaknesses
a major strength of yours is that they can literally think of any card
which is rare in an effect
also by selecting their card by simply thinking about it and naming it _very_ cleanly removes the spectator from ever touching the cards
this cleans up the unnatural actions that can plague other versions of this trick
the only downside is that although the handling of the effect can be made to be _incredibly_ convincing
you cant let the spectator examine their card
overall good effect
i would definitely recommend it
the (strength of the effect) / (effort put in) ratio is very high
