How come all of 'Aos' post's all full of "___word___"?

Anyway, I think this whole thread from the 2nd page on is almost useless.

It's been a back and forth debate on how 'The Desitiny Effect' is the same as other versions by Jay Sankey, etc.

Our best bet is to stop complaining/being jealous/fishing for the method and just wait for the video!

I think the creator of this effect basically wanted to hype up his effect a lil' bit- get people interested and wanting more. No matter waht you say, he reached his aim! He's got over 5 pages of people talking about his effect- exactly what he wants!

So well done! And let's just wait for the vid!

It's supposed to be that the word is in italics, or has emphasis.

Michael is a huge fan of Sankeys...

Apparently people care enough about the effect to take it this far ;)

Exactly! No one can say they know how an effect is done until it is told how it is done. You may have a way that it can be accomplished, but that may not be the way it is accomplished. There isn't a single, be all end all method for an effect. Lay off the guy, he is just trying to tell others who also enjoy the art about his effect.

cool
well here is my unaskedfor review:
the trick is a strong variation based on an interesting idea
requires zero sleight of hand
good way to put an old deck to good use
and having names on the deck justifies your use of a different deck
which is something thats very hard to do with other full deck setups
i only know of two effect that are dedicated to getting the spectators name on their card
this one and graffiti by sankey
i would say that neither one can replace the other
they each have their strengths and weaknesses
a major strength of yours is that they can literally think of any card
which is rare in an effect
also by selecting their card by simply thinking about it and naming it _very_ cleanly removes the spectator from ever touching the cards
this cleans up the unnatural actions that can plague other versions of this trick
the only downside is that although the handling of the effect can be made to be _incredibly_ convincing
you cant let the spectator examine their card
overall good effect
i would definitely recommend it
the (strength of the effect) / (effort put in) ratio is very high

Did I send you an ebook?

What if instead of having a different name on every card. every card was blank accept theirs and it said there name. Or it says " Thought you might like this card" or "this is yours..." or "Don'y pick this card." or It can have your phone number on it if it's a cute girl. l;ike:

"Dylan Piknicks Phone #:
555-555-555-5555555555355555."

Since you could make any thing appear I was thinking about this gag for it.
Ask them to name a card, then spread and ask them, is there any way I could have known your card, they will say no and you say that is right, no and you turn the card over and show there is the word no on it.
Please note, this is not my idea
Cheers
Andrew
