I can't help but it would make more sense to send a PM to a moderator or admin on the magic cafe than asking here.

I can assure you that it is probably a political something. . . the Cafe's Gestapo element (moderating team) seems to have carte blanche when it comes to censorship; what one moderator could care less about another will get in a snit over and so axe the topic completely. I know of several threads in which my name is mentioned in a positive light and they've been cut simply because my name is mud over there. . . and it happens in the case of others as well.

The Company Line of the Cafe is that they don't have to explain what they do or give any warning to anyone when they do it. It's ok for their favorite butt smoochers to get away with certain things and yet those they don't like, who may actually have realistic/legit details will get shot down for the least of "infractions"

Don't try to figure out the Cafe, just get away from it as quickly and gracefully as possible before you get sucked into its abyss.

Not sure why this is here tbh.

To show that you are online friends with Rudy or something? :S.

Best to post questions about the Magic Cafe, on, the Magic Cafe.

Sure. . . that will go far. . .

How long do you think anything negative about the Cafe will stand if it were posted?

Firstly, they have a "scanning" type process that looks for certain words & phrases that will get flagged, same with ISP address and detecting any kind of Stealth program. Then you have a gang of self-important jerks, few of whom have ever done anything resembling real work in the biz, acting as a "Moderator" . . . for which there exist at least 3 different types including a stealthy Gestapo squad that seems to love to oust anyone with a brain that don't hold to the social-political views of the "establishment" (I know of a few who've actually been locked out because they spoke nice about Obama policies or in the negative about Bush Jr.)

They have a "Language Moderator" that goes through posts and censors. . . edits them, frequently changing the entire meaning of what someone has stated or removing significant details so that the posting makes little to no sense. . . links of reference are frequently cut; not for the typical reason such things are deleted but because they shine light on issues that go contrary to the establishments' philosophic & political ideas.

You'll find that the majority of people banned from the cafe are part of the Mentalism & Bizarre side of things, many of whom don't speak too fondly of the whole Christian/Church thing, which is the biggest reason why they are ousted . . . for not being "Family Friendly" as some call it.

Bottom line is, you're talking about one of the most infringing sources on the whole web when it comes to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression.

The big thing you need to consider when it comes to the Cafe is that it is a marketing dreadnought; the management team insures the advertisers and of course the VIP writers that there will be loads of noobs from whose pockets they can pilfer from. I know that's a crass way of putting things but more than a few notables have pointed out that the ONLY REASONS they post there from time to time is to push product or special lecture dates, etc.

Yes, if one were to filter out all the B.S. you would find an amazing (encyclopedic) collection of awesome insights on a number of topics; material that young and old can benefit from. The question has to be however, "Is it worth it?"

Do you want to be a number used for statistics that allow the forum hosts to pocket big money and more via advertisers even though he (they) subvert your freedom of speech, your right to critique their "friends", and even your right to express your personal views when it comes to issues of faith/non-faith/ and politics.

On that front the Cafe is purely fascists -- dictatorial by degree, in that the top heavy management factor seems to have a very haphazard sense of right & wrong.

Personally I believe you will get better quality insight here and at E than you will on the Cafe. Another excellent site (though I've recently left it) is TalkMagic in the UK and to a lesser extent The Magic Bunny. Unfortunately, some of the best sources on line are invitation only with many becoming paid membership with monthly fees ranging from $5.00 to well over $50.00.

But as I said, it's a matter as to what you want from a forum and the sense of comfort the forum allows you. Personally, I don't associate with much of anything that wants to censor me. . . that includes spending long periods of time around the majority of my relatives.
