I was wondering, do you need to be able to do the original pass to do the tres pass move? And if you do, is it still at least a little easier than the original pass?

Tres Pass is a very slick move. It is, as stated above, different from the original, classic pass -- and, with a little practice, should be an extremely cool and versatile move, which opens a world of application possibilities.
