Hey Guys Here is a quick review on the Turn OverBend By Dee Christopher

Price £6.66

Where at? www.Mindlapse.net Or http://www.deechristophermagic.com/turnoverbend.cfm

BackroundA little bit of backround this is a move that Dee has used for a long time as part of his Quicksilver routine it is easy quick and natural.

Effect A spoon is borrowed and held at the magician’s fingertips. It is shown from all angles
and then effortlessly droops, bending at the neck.

MethodThere is no preparation which is a bonus this can be done really on the spot with a borrowed spoon. The movements are natural and the "Bend" can be easily performed.Timing would need to be practiced but i think overall this is a very easy method to achieve.

The Non Bending Spoon Bend
If you perform spoon/Fork bending you have probably come across a spoon that you just can't bend to thick maybe. Dee has made a nice visual bend which looks better with forks but still achieves the overal bending effect.

Method The bend is based on a move taught in Erick's Gallerian DVD. This is a really cool idea and a very optical, visual bend though this can't be handed out he teaches a way to " Put the spoon Back to normal"
The method is pretty smart and ill have some fun playing with this in the mirror.

Extra There are plenty of pictures for the main part about the turnover bend that help explaine clearly and help with the process.
Dee gives credit where credit is due, and gives details and his thoughts on the moves the process and so on overall i thought it was a great pdf and i can't wait to try these out.

The Turnover Bend by Dee Christopher

A new effect by Dee Christopher. Available on the "lapse"

Effect: Just the same outlook as the basic spoon or fork bend. You show a fork or spoon, and you show it from all sides, showing no gimmicks, no pre-bends, and then you hold it at the tip, at which it slowly droops over and dies... not really but it still droops over quite a bit.

Method: This is just sleight of hand. I was not overly impressed by the method. I have studied metal bending for around half year hard core a while back so thats why this might nto have impressed me that much. But as for as I am concerned, it is a pretty new idea. Looks extremely clean, pretty simple, pretty easy to do, pretty visual. It just doesnt hit me as something totally new in the realm of metal bending.

Now other than the main turn over bend, Dee adds in an extra effect. It is also another metal bend but I feel its the more interesting one of the PDF. Its called Synthetic Arc.

Effect: Same as before its a spoon or fork bend. Someone hands you a fork or spoon. You show it around, no gimmicks, no nothing. Then you slowly cause it to bend via rubbing or concentrating.

Method: Although this sounds like a normal spoon bend, it really isnt. Imagine someone handing you a titanium spoon and you doing the above. Yea? Now the method is pretty easy. Once you learn it, you can probably perform it decently in about 1 hour of practicing the moves. Now the great thing about this part of the PDF is that Dee teaches all the other things like patter, outs, convincers, etc, etc. It all adds up to one great effect which I find better than the Turnover.

What You Get: A PDF, 9 pages in total, good quality computer processed, there are text as well as images to support the teaching. everything is explained crystal clear.

Thanks for the thoughts man - I'm glad you liked synthetic arc. It can be very effective when the time is right!

Regarding the turnover bend it's self, it's something that I personally use as a 2nd phase in an optical bending routine - It's VERY good for increasing a bend in a spoon, but works great as a stand alone.

Most bends require an amount of misdirection, with the turnover, you're doing the move right in front of their face, you can do it surrounded when your hands are being burned. If you've studied bending for a fair while, you probably know quite a few bends, but next time you do any bending, throw the turnover in to try it out - it's a really nice technique :)

Thanks again,

D.

The Turnover Bend

see what I did there in the title? get it? I turned the name around!

anyways, onto the review!

name: The turnover bend

Price: £6.66

effect:" The turnover bend is an incredibly powerful tool. This move allows you to easily work a perfect bend into a borrowed spoon or fork in plain sight.

I've been refining this technique for a number of years now and use this bend at every engagement, you too will get fantastic milage out of the bend and it's something that you can carry with you at all times.

If you ever do come across a spoon that you just can't bend, I've also included my Synthetic Arc suggestive spoon bend, an excerpt taken from the book Proximity Effects."

Where to buy: www.mindlapse.net

Setup: none.

content: The PDF contains an explination of the bend, which is quite easy, as well as a great no-bend bend for those spoons that just won't work.

I love this idea, it's doing the dirty work with absolutely no cover or funny moves. It will, however, take some practice as with everything. this canl;t go for less than

4.5/5
love it.

TurnOver Bend - Dee Christopher :: Review

Introduction: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dee Christopher for giving me this chance to review one of his many tricks.

The Review

Trick: TurnOver Bend

Created By: Dee Christopher

Effect: "A spoon is borrowed and held at the magician’s fingertips. It is shown from all angles
and then effortlessly droops, bending at the neck."

Cost: £6.66

Genre: Spoon Bending

Product: http://www.mindlapse.net/

Format: PDF E-Book

Quality: The PDF is a plain white sleek and simple booklet with high quality pictures to help. The booklet is 9 pages long and easy to follow along.

History: Dee says he uses this to put a further bend into the spoon for a second
optical technique in my two-spoon routine QuickSilver.

Layout:

Effect- Explained Above

Preparation- It's a simple one-handed bend with really no prep time or needed finger strength.

Method- The pictures really help you get the positions where they are needed and how you accomplish the effect. A really simple and devious method.

Optics- All movements are natural and visual, but need a little practice.

Final Notes: Here Dee advices you to practice and add your own touch to it.

Teaching: Everything was very straight-forward and simple and everything is taught very thoroughly; and had no confusion or problems while reading the booklet.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bonus: The Synthetic Arc Bend – The Non Bending Spoon Bend

Effect:This is a metal bending routine geared towards the performer who is caught off guard; if
you can use a routine where the spoon actually bends.

History: The bend is based on a move taught in Erick's Gallerian DVD, but in this case the spoon
does not have to be bent for the visual bending

Method: It's a cool and smart method for a spoon bend. Although the spoon is not examinable, you encourage to straighten it out again.

NOTE: These is one where presentation matters most, and if you believe the
spectator will believe also.

Final Notes: Here Dee explains you must be comfortable to bend the spoon and how powerful this bend can be.

Further Reading: Dee explains other suggestions if you're into bending spoons.

Overall: A nice and simple performable spoon bend in my opinion with no misdirection. I suggest you try to pick it up and see for yourself.

Score: 8/10

The Turnover Bend

Effect: A spoon is borrowed and held at the magician’s fingertips. It is shown from all angles
and then effortlessly droops, bending at the neck.

Preparation:
There is no prep really, as metioned in the earler review. When reading it I thought you might need a little "extra" of something depending on the spoon you use, but Dee has made another bend included, that still makes this effect possible. Also this is 100% impromtu, this literally can be preformed anywhere and does look like real magic when done right.

Pictures: There are also pictures that can be followed along by those people who need more visual help.

Method: This is very practical and can be preformed like I said anywhere. He also includes extra tips to also help out in the Final Thoughts section.

Final Review: I give this a 9/10 this is a very good product to pick up for you mentalists out their. This could go fabulous with your metal bending routines.

Recommendations: check out Psychokinetic Silverware by Gerry and Banachek this would......go....PERFECT with it!

Turnover Bend Review

TURNOVER BEND
This is my first thoughts on the pdf Turnover bend found at Dee Christophers website.
Effect:
A spoon is borrowed and held at the magician’s fingertips. It is shown from all angles and then effortlessly droops, bending at the neck.

Method:
When I first looked at the method, I thought it would never work to tell you the truth. then I performed the bend in the mirror. Woah. It actually looked like an expensive spoon bend. There is one knacky movement, but if you do spoon bends often, then there won't be a problem.

Teaching:
High quality photos and he teaches everything fairly nicely. No problems here.

Angles:
This is almost angle free. There is only 2 angles I can think of that might cause a problem but that can be solved easily.

Setup:
No Setup whatsoever. You actually do the bend in their face in full view. it is impromptu

Bonus:

The synthetic arc bend:
This is a bend for people who are not as good at bending spoons or silverware.

Method:
Since I don't have a problem with the Turnover bend, I won't use it. It is more of a offbeat thing.
It is based off the effect Gallerian bend
No angles or anything else. It just isn't my style.

Overall:
This is beautiful. 9.5/10

Any questions, please ask. This effect I will be using very often.

Great effect Dee Christopher.
