yeah it looks beautiful. Uses a mirror to produce coins and all. May have been the inspiration for twilight angels. I'll just have to play with it then.
That is where I had seen it before! I can't help you on method but if watching footage will help there is a guy who makes Poker Chip gaffs that has a few sets that he sells for that effect. Here is the link. Don England. Surf around a bit and he has a few demos. http://www.donengland.com/chips.html

Wow. That is a nice version. I'll have to see if I can't find a mirror that will work for the effect somewhere.
Just go to the glass store or mirror store and ask them to cut you a piece that you want. Also, you should glue a velvet cloth (or any type of soft surface) on the back of the mirror, it will help with the trick (and the noise).
