Venues For A Silent Production Act

So I realize I may be whizzing in the wind here as I know most (but not all) of the guys on this board are not the silent production act type. Anyhow, I figured I'd ask as all help is much appreciated.

So I am in the midst of working on a production act (Fans, candles, eventually a dove) that I am really excited about. For any of you who have the seen the artist diary, I am a metal guy so you can imagine this isn't your usual candle act.

Aaanyhow, in several months once it is ready for performance... where on earth do I perform it? I've been racking my brain for stage venues around here that a teenager could get in on. I'm smack in the bible belt, so I have thought of churches... but then I risk an exorcism... hmm

Jokes aside, where are venues you guys have found for stage/parlor acts. I can present an entire act, not just this routine, but still need venue ideas so I can pitch myself.

you should look into opening for bands at local clubs and whatnot...that's what i used to do. Or look into some comedy club open mic nights and things like that...its a start...

Opening for bands is actually a really good idea as we have a big music scene around here. Thanks man.
