I know from time to time I have seen people talk about changing liquid clear to another color in a bottle of water... or at least I think so. Am I hallucinating? Does this exist already or no?

well it wasn't in a bottle but im pretty sure there was this dude, about 2000 years ago that "Allegedly" could change a liquids color and taste to something like wine, although ive heard that most of his "illusions" have been exaggerated more than a Mindfreak episode and the dude just had a ridiculous PR guy. I think he has a book out, or at least one about his work, probably by Kaufman haha. check it out, im sure Penguin sells it.












on a more serious note, it does sound familiar but i cannot think of a specific product that would accomplish that effect.

There is a trick call "Water to wine to water." The name explained what the trick is. Just search around on the net, and you'll find it. I'll give you the first hint "Maigcdepot."

Something like 'Flow' could also be used to create this.

Doug Henning had a trick called 'Power' I believe that would change the color of water. It went from clear to blue to clear again. However, I believe the method requires you to pour the liquids from one container to another.

I don't know how it's done or where to get it, though. A guy in my magic club performed it for us.

there is a trick called tasteticular, by sean fields in his 1337 Notes, that changes the spectators water into mouth wash, GREAT trick.

Clear water, to green mouthwash, they can even taste it. (tasting it is part of the routine)

that also sounds extremely familiar as Morgan Strebler's trick. I forgot the name but he released a PDF of it a while back. He originally devised the trick for a blind man. The person would take a sip from the cup and assure it was water. He would take another sip (still water) and slush it around. Inside his mouth he would taste it change into mouth wash. Im not sure what happens next. I think the entire cup becomes mouth wash.
