What's good for a starter?

Hey everyone, i'dd like to know what 1-on-1 videos would be good for me. I'm starting card magic 'cause I always loved to watch it and I like to see the reactions magicians get when they do their tricks. Also, what books could I get that could help me?

Thanks in advance

If you're completely new to card magic then the best 1 on 1's would be Card funademntals Volume 1 & 2 by Aaron Fisher.

In my opinion the best books to start with are The Royal Road to Card Magic and Card College.

If you want a beginner DVD look into Born to perform by Oz Pearlman or Crash Course 1 from Ellusionist.

Start you off, Royal Road to card magic. It might annoy you but working through it is great.
Others might recomend card college or AOA, but I don't have them, so I can't say much.
If you want a 1on1 then I recomend a control. I don't have many though so I think I'll leave it for some others.

Sorry I haven't been much help! :(
Good luck, enjoy your magic :)

Edit: yeah Card fundementals would be good.

Good for a starter? Well the tapas is rather good, and the duck soup is simply divine...
Right. Sorry. I think everyone else has said it really, all the main ones (RRTCM and Card College and both brilliant from what I've heard). I've heard people vouch for the Ellusionist How to do street magic DVD, though that seems to have a more shady reputation. For 1on1s, Card Fundamentals 1 and 2 has already been mentioned I believe, possibly Cardistry 101 if you want some flourishing and Threefly is a good'un for coin basics if those fields interest you. That's all for now, Randomwrath signing off to get at the duck soup :p

S.W.E. shift.... HAHAHA..... for beginner stuff....i would recommend Card College [Book], Crash Course Series (Ellusionist) [DVD] and S.Shuffle by Chris Kenner (this is a kind of good 1 on 1 for beginners.... not teaching sleights but could be a good beginner trick though) [ 1 on 1 ] (I think these was already mentioned above though)
