First and foremost, welcome to the site. Theory11 is more than just a site. It's a family. Unlike many sites out there, Theory11 prides itself on a personal connection with its members. The artists mingle directly with the community, that way we can develop the best we can as artists ourselves rather than be led astray by other inexperienced members. You can't expect the artists to be constantly posting in our forums due to busy schedules, but you'll be sure to see them around and they'll definitely be available to answer questions to any of your problems. The products Theory puts out are consistently top notch. One might not agree that the effect itself is of great standard (that's all personal opinion 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder') but you are bound to learn something great from each product, because they pack in lessons of the craft into each product, so you're learning so much more than just the effect itself. Even though I believe each effect is worthy of performing, but again, that's simply up to you to agree or disagree. It's the magician who makes the effect, not the effect that makes the magician. No one artist here is going to be your one source of inspiration. Each and every artist has an endless amount of wisdom to drop off. I've learned from each and every person here. I've even learned the simple art of compassion and work ethic from the business side of things here. They have a great team. As for decks of cards... It's up to you which you like best, I personally stick with Bicycle and Tally Ho cards. Occasionally Bee. But Theory does make some beautiful decks of cards worthy of your buying. Anyway, enjoy your stay. soak up all the knowledge you can. Maintain the mindset of a student and never quit learning from anyone and anything. I am far from the voice of this site, but I hope I've been able to help.

Here at Theory 11, you can post your opinions. What I mean, is that you could mention other magic websites, and as long as it's adding to the conversation, they will keep it. At other sites, you can't mention the competition. Also, they allow for criticism. As long as things are said in a polite, constructive manor, they will listen and respond. Other sites don't take kindly to this type of thing.

On another note, I have PMed JB a number of times and he has taken the time to respond in depth, even though there are a thousands things he has to do. It's the personal touch that is amazing. Stemming from this, contacting support has always been a pleasure as they respond quickly and help out in any way they can. Great personal touch here.

the wire, by far is the best part of theory11. on the wire,(which you can get to by the link on the info bar on the top) allows you to create an account and using that you can create and share your original magic/cardisty with the other members of theory11. this is really nice because you dont have to actually make dvds and put them on the market but instead you just create a presentation vid and a tutorial vid and submit it to the wire. as long as it makes it thru approval for originality eplanation and such then you have your effect for anybody to view and learn. you can set a price, and things on the wire doesnt usually get higher than ten for an instant download, and you could also make it free.

if u r not interested in posting vids and making some money (60 percent profit, then there are still going to be countlees innovative wacky and unique tricks to learn, and it is worth checking it out. if you have any questions about this or other things then feel free to PM me
