I remember seeing this on TV E4 its not the first clip Iam on about but I bet he does not do that effect again in a hurry. It's the 2ND clip I want you to see it really shows the importance of practising, especially when using a spectator.

This is why I never even practise such effects. Even David Copperfield's assistant chopped his arm. And he is the grand master.

Anyway, I think the main thing wrong with the second video is, the assistant obviously was frightened and did not want to participate, yet as she said, he just used more force. It doesn't matter if the trick is dangerous or not, if for whatever reason, the spectator does not wish to participate, DO NOT MAKE THEM.

Yeah this is generally why I don't like the idea of Russian Roulette routines. If you screw up, you can pretty much injure yourself pretty bad. The one with the spectator being injured is even worse.. Now you face the chance of them suing you. Nice way to get a good reputation.
