There are some really cheap and nasty versions of this trick out there, it's really worth shelling out a bit more to get a good one - If it's something you're looking at including in your show, I'd go for one of the higher quality surrounded versions.
If you're not sure, just get a cheap one, but you will want to replace it.

try and get in touch with Joe Givan, he used to sell the best knife thru arm out there ever. bar none. And its not your knife thru arm like the crappy obvious ones out there, his is the best. You come down on your arm in a stabbing motion and then tear up your arm towards your elbow, f'n greeeat!!!!
