I never claimed to be flawless.

Tally go back and read my past post again. I have stated your question numerous times.(And you wonder why I asked you what your age was)

Are you already in your hole or do I have to take you there?

(Reread my last post so you can better understand this)

first off, I think you mean you have answered my question, which you did not. You have yet to explain what makes you different than other youtube "magicians" and how you are so much better than us. I remember seeing stage magic - performed on an actual stage, for actual people that was way more entertaining than you could ever make yours. It was in a battle. I think it was JFar magic.

I still wonder why you asked my age, as it bears no significance in my opinion of your magic - if you can call it that.

Back in Time
Here's the thing, the Mic just ruined it. Hell if you have mic problems, why not just go the safe route and use subtitles? I know youtube has them now and they are easy as pie to use.

You handling was just awkward and rushed. The fact that you are a "stage magician" has nothing to with it. Even if it did, most Stage magicians would have put up the video with a good mic (they're about 20-30 bucks tops at your local Office Max or Best Buy.).

Here's the other thing, If you learned that 4 years ago, it wouldn't have sucked. The handling would have been actually good to half way decent.

I still question WHERE you learned it from. Because it seemed like you learned it from a youtube guy, who also learned it from a youtube guy, etc etc. See where this is going?

I do think you need to stop performing for youtube and start performing for real people.

I don't want to betray private correspondence, but let's just say I know that's the safest bet you'll ever make.

... It really is, but i'll gladly tear this leg off in a bloody fashion if he'll simply take the time to heed the words and improve. Behond all the BS that happens to pop up in his threads, there's been so much more than enough great advice from many people. Yet they're still using his Dark Matter Levitation video as a torture tactic in the C.I.A. .

I do think you need to stop performing for youtube and start performing for real people.

Here's the thing, I believe credits go to Tally-Ho for the video, but we've seen him perform for a live spectator. I believe it was two, one at a time. In all honesty, it was pretty bad. Like a lot of things, it's trial and error (The more you do it, you slowly start to figure out what's wrong so you can fix it.), but for godsakes, he didn't even look like he gave a **** what he was doing. Like he could simply careless.

I have to admit, I was more entertained by that squirrel video.

No matter how much you think you want to see a live perfoance, the minute you do, you will regret it. Seriously. I doubt that you've been doing magic for 4 years.

Thought so.

No, I can believe that he's been doing it for that long, it just means he's been doing it wrong. I, however, don't believe he's practiced anything that long.

Dude, see if you can find that video again. Just for those that haven't seen it yet. Those of us who have, will simply avoid it.

I'll try and find the link, but I know I posted it on page 6 or 7 of the déjà-vu thread. I'm sure you can just do a quick search for the username mystifier1 on YouTube and find his street magic video. I think we should critique that video too.

I don't know if I can take this thread anymore. It's just become one big arguement. Won't someone close this? Sinful? Rebel Ace 69? Jack the Magician? The Dark Angel? Anyone!?!

Seriously, this thread has unwound into a pointless spool of arguments. Just learn to take criticism man!

Thanks, that saved me some time. Actually I don't know if I should thank you for that. It's still terrible.

I wouldn't... I even kinda feel bad for putting it up, but on some level, i'm sure it had to be done... kinda sure... a little.

You're right daveygs! I'm gonna close this right now... oh wait, i'm not a mod, lol. (Don't mind me, i'm pretty sure I may have lost my mind.)

I was just about to say "Dude, what the hell!" Then I remembered the music. The remark is actually quite relevant. Anyone else care to weigh in? Also keep in mind that the cards he's using, they're the equivalent of leaving 52 wet playing card size piece's of paper out over night to dry so they get kinda stiff. From personal experience.

The ten seconds of it that I watched were abismal. I quit around the time he tossed out his super sexy catchphrase "pick a card!"

I don't know what the beef with the OP is but I'll try to critique the video.

First of all, I couldn't hear your patter because of the abysmal audio. Get a microphone so we can hear you please. Don't just use the mic on your digital camera. As for the moves, part of it seemed "fidgety" and as if you didn't know what to do next.

Work on it some more. Smooth everything out. It's meant to be a nice, smooth, and beautiful routine.

Mitch

P.S. Why must everyone argue all the time? Calm down everyone.
