Hi,

A few weeks ago I was walking around campus and there was a guy hypnotizing a teenager. All worked well, the teenager's head dropped and then the man immediately woke him back up. A girl then approached, sat down and the guy proceeded to hypnotize her. Problem was, she started to slip off her chair onto the ground (mind you she didn't fall hard but the fact of the matter is, she fell on the ground). The guy looked a little stressed and quickly said something like your now wide awake but nothing happened. She continued to lay there, not moving. He then picked her up and started loudly saying "You are now awake!" and then she sort of opened her eyes and didn't seem very happy, more concerned and scared.

This sparked my interest in hypnosis and thus, I am toying with the idea of buying The Manchurian Approach. However, the girl falling on the ground and not waking up when told to made me a little concerned about the whole subject. What if, one day, the person I am hypnotizing doesn't wake up? The man doing the hypnotizing seemed (to my knowledge at least) try to awaken the girl correctly but to no avail. Or is this a regular thing and some people just take a little longer to wake-up?

I perform Hypnosis All the time, And abseloutly love it, a few things you need to know though. A person can NOT get stuck in trance. Correct me If Im wrong but from what I learned a person left in trance will sooner or later really fall asleep and wake up as if they were sleeping.
And The DVD you are thinking bout getting is the Best way to go in my opinion. it will get you sratrted. I personaly own it, and LOVE it. Anthony Is a cool guy. If you have any problems, u can message him. HE will help you out, until you are hypnotizing people too

OK cool thanks for your reply. That's reassuring! Yeah it was just the guy seemed very stressed when she didn't wake up; maybe he was inexperienced then? I think I will buy this within the week :O

Thanks again, Macere

EDIT: I have also heard that it is good if you purchase reality is plastic alongside with the DVD. Is this necessary or should I be OK with no book? Its not that I don't mind the read, I just don't want to spend that kind of money at the moment.

Highly recommended. Even if you aren't looking into learning hypnosis. They give very valuable advice just on approaching someone. They spend quite some time on this subject. And it could help tremendously for magicians. I haven't seen many DVDs spend this much time on the subject of approaching the spectator. This, and so much more can help you as a magician. One of the best purchases I have made in my magic career.

Thanks for your reply.

One last thing before I make the purchase. Does the DVD give advice on the signs to look for to see if a person is hypnotized?

Thankyou kindly

You need the book as well. On reality is plastic. It clearly states the DVD is no sub for the book.
