Cards with what card it is on the back

I can give you loads of suggestions, there are two main types of markings though, and I'd like to know which one you're more interested in: -Cards with a code on the back, much harder to detect by the spectator, as even if they see a difference between the backs they won't know what it means...

How to Find Magicians Near By?

Hey Josh! Yep, I remember asking the forums about the Utah magic community and running into you - I've been super busy with end-of-year things for school, among other things, but I hope that I'll be able to come to a club meeting relatively soon. True though ^

If any of you need a laugh

https://www.fourmilab.ch/etexts/www/herrmann/book_of_magic/bom.html just read the highlighted parts - thank me later :p For some reason, I just find the absurdity of some of these methods frankly entertaining. The tricks work, but they do so though such strange methods that it's simply funny...

How do you recover from messing up a trick?

In this sort of situation, a double backer is your best friend. I always leave mine in the card box, or place it in my wallet. In a cinch, this allows you to get out of most mess-ups, using a fun method I thought of: Simply ask them what their card was as if you didn't know, and spread...

Does anyone know where you can get a brick of cards other than Bicycles?

Theory11 doesn't usually do discounts the more decks you buy, but I know that Ellusionist gives you a 15% discount on most of their decks when you buy a brick, so maybe you could go from there. Idk if those are the decks you want though...

    Guerrilla Style Street Magic?

The #1 rule of approaching strangers for me: are they smiling or otherwise looking like they're having a good time? Those are the people I want to approach - I'm yet to be turned down :) #2: Don't go up to anyone who looks busy in any way or otherwise occupied, you don't want to get in their...

    Fontaine Dark Blue Sleight Edition

Nice... How many did you manage to snag? With the red ones going for $200+ that's quite an impressive return on investment

    Fontaine Dark Blue Sleight Edition

To be honest, I don't fully understand the craze about Fontaines, but it would have been nice to snag a couple decks to resell them later haha! I'm not complaining though.

What is your favorite wrong explanation you've heard?

Wow, I really like that! I'm not very good at the classic force, mainly because I rarely practice it because of the possibility of failure, but that alternate out is good enough that I might just go and try it now lol. Thank you so much for sharing that idea! Honestly, the hardest part of the...

What is your favorite wrong explanation you've heard?

I'll do a simple fan and people will accuse me of trying to make them take the card that has the most showing [kinda classic force-y], yet when I do a cull force, I'm yet to encounter any kind of suspicion at all haha!

What is your favorite wrong explanation you've heard?

You had your chance to make that a genuine effect before Barnes and you didn't lol... tbh I was kinda disappointed with Change because the places I perform make it extremely hard to use, and it's a hard trick to perform in the first place. I've heard LOADS of other explanations for color changes...

    Fontaine Dark Blue Sleight Edition

Hmm... I didn't know anything about it until now - although I don't have any information for you, thanks for making me aware of the potential new Fontaines! (probably won't buy them though tbh haha)

What is your favorite wrong explanation you've heard?

Performing magic for my grandma is really funny sometimes! Once I did the classic Sharpie up nose out mouth thing to her, but with a steak knife, and she thought I was going to die. To this day she still thinks that I actually pushed it in my nose and pulled it out of my mouth.

What is your favorite wrong explanation you've heard?

I get absurd explanations for tricks all the time, but the one single trick that seems to cause the most absurdity is Invisible Deck, as Antonio said. I get a lot of explanations along the same sort as you've had, with some kind of voice recognition and mechanical method of flipping a card over...

    Magic Community in Utah?

Wow! Thank you so much for that wealth of information. My schedule is pretty tight right now, so I might not be able to attend activities this month, but this definitely sounds like something I'd love to look into. I had no idea that the community was this extensive, but I guess I just wasn't...

    Magic Community in Utah?

Sweet! Honestly that could be super fun! Where in Utah are you from? I was looking at some people's profiles on another discussion I started, and it looks like Josh Burch, one of the forum mods, is from Utah, so maybe he can help us out too haha

    Magic Community in Utah?

I'm a young magician who loves the art of magic and I want to develop my skills, but I've been so far unable to find a magic community in Utah. Are there any fellow Utahns in the forums that can help me out in finding a group?

    Searching for flourishes

There's hundreds of cuts out there, but I'll share a couple I'm working on right now because they're fun, aerial, and a bit knacky. Revs (taught by Geraint Clarke) is a really fun and rather difficult one handed cut with a fun aerial ending. Another fun one handed aerial cut is the Erdnase...
